Climb Jacking is the lowering or lifting of heavy loads in a vertical direction with the help of hydraulic climbing jacks. A Climbing Jack is a hydraulic cylinder of which the plunger can be pushed in or out through oil pressure.
The cylinders are placed upside down in the casing/jacking frame, it then pushes the load up or downwards. One of the big advantages of using Climbing Jacks (in combination with Jacking Timbers) is that it is a compact and fast installed lifting system. This lifting technique can therefore be used in locations where access is limited by space restrictions and its fast installation can be cost effective.
Roll Group also has a skidding system available to move large loads horizontally. This system consists of a skid track, skid shoes and hydraulic push pull units.
